Mothers' Union torches begin their journey across the diocese

Two torches are making their way across the diocese this spring as Mothers' Union members mark the organisations 150th anniversary with a relay connecting branches from north to south.

The southern torch was blessed by Father Tim Ardouin at Llanrhidian before travelling to Three Cliffs MU in Pennard. It will pass from branch to branch across the south of the diocese in the coming weeks.

A second torch begins its journey from Rhayader at the end of March, travelling south through the northern branches. The two flames will converge on Brecon Cathedral for the diocesan festival.

The worldwide President of the Mothers' Union visits Swansea on 10 April and will join the relay during her stay.
