When building work meant closing Swansea Minster for four weeks, the team decided to take the church to the people instead, setting up a pop-up stall at Wales's biggest indoor market, right in the heart of the city.

High-level cleaning and the installation of glass box offices meant handing the building over to contractors for a month. Rather than shut up shop, Canon Justin Davies and the Minster team moved into Swansea Market.

The pop-up church offers everything from jigsaws and coffee to candles and prayer. People drop in for faith conversations, ask about baptism, or simply sit quietly for a few minutes away from the market bustle.

"It's turning out to be a very good time," Justin says. "The number of visitors we're having is increasing every day. We're having great faith conversations with people coming along asking about faith, asking about baptism, asking about the way that we can help them in their lives."

The stall is open every day of the week including Saturdays, offering what Justin describes as "a place to come and be—taking church right out into the community of Swansea".
