Property Administration Assistant

A part-time, permanent role supporting the diocesan property department, based from home with regular travel within the Gower Archdeaconry.

Salary Grade C: £24,479 – £25,324 p.a. (pro rata)

The Role

The Property Administration Assistant will support the Property Administration Supervisor in providing a professional and efficient property administration service across the diocese. The role involves regular contact with diocesan and provincial staff, clergy, contractors and members of the public.

Main Responsibilities

  • Handling enquiries by email and telephone, responding and actioning as necessary
  • Drafting letters and reports
  • Undertaking weekly inspections at vacant properties in the Gower Archdeaconry
  • Maintaining database information in line with Data Protection legislation
  • Managing compliance contracts and databases, including Landlord's Certificates, EICRs, EPCs, ACM surveys, security systems, and contractor information
  • Taking minutes by attendance or transcription of digital recordings
  • Filing and documentation management
  • General administrative support for the team

Person Specification

Essential requirements include a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English, excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and strong experience of drafting correspondence and reports. The ability to drive with access to a vehicle is essential given the travel requirements of the role.

Candidates should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to prioritise a varied workload, and an empathy with the Christian ethos of the organisation. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.

Terms and Conditions

The post is offered on a permanent contract, subject to satisfactory references and a favourable medical assessment. A six-month probationary period applies. Annual leave entitlement is 23 days, rising by one day per complete year of service to a maximum of 28 days (pro rata). The diocesan pension scheme provides an employer contribution of 15% of total earnings.
