Give regularly with Gift Direct

Gift Direct is the Church in Wales' simple, secure way to give regularly to your local church or ministry area. You choose where your gift goes, how much to give, and how often. You stay in control — and your church can plan with confidence.

How it works

  1. Choose your church or ministry area and set your monthly gift.
  2. Complete the short online form (you can change or pause it any time).
  3. We claim Gift Aid on eligible gifts, boosting your donation at no extra cost.

Why regular giving helps

  • Steady support: churches receive reliable income for worship, pastoral care and mission.
  • Less admin: online changes mean fewer envelopes and banking runs.
  • Your control: amend, add or cease donations whenever you need to.

Gift Aid

If you pay UK income or capital gains tax, you can let us claim Gift Aid on your donation. That increases the value of your gift at no extra cost to you. You can add or remove Gift Aid as your circumstances change.

Gift Direct is administered by the Representative Body of the Church in Wales (Registered Charity). See the Gift Direct FAQs for details.

FAQs

Can I choose exactly where my gift goes?
Yes. When you start or amend a donation you can select your local church, ministry area, or another Church in Wales fund.
Can I change or pause my donation later?
Use the main Gift Direct page to amend details, change amounts or pause if you need to.
How does Gift Aid work?
If you're a UK taxpayer, submitting a Gift Aid declaration lets us claim the tax on your gift. You can opt in or out at any time.
Is this secure?
Gift Direct is run centrally by the Church in Wales. Payments and data are managed securely by the Representative Body.
