At Faith in Families, we believe every child deserves a safe, happy childhood, and every family deserves the chance to thrive.

We work in the heart of Swansea & Brecon's most challenged communities, offering practical support, emotional care, and genuine human connection. Whether it's a hot meal, a shoulder to lean on, or a lifeline in a crisis, we're here.

Our message is simple: Hugs Not Handouts. We meet people where they are—without judgment, without shame, and always with hope.

Our Projects

We run four projects:

Each Community Cwtch is a safe, welcoming space where families can access play sessions, parenting support, holiday clubs, wellbeing help, and more—designed around the needs of local people.

Cwtch Mawr—meaning Big Hug—is Wales's first Multibank. It's not a public-facing site, but works behind the scenes to provide essential items like school uniforms, hygiene products, warm clothes, and bedding. These goods are distributed through our trusted charity and professional partners, supporting families across Swansea facing financial hardship.

Our Programmes

We work with families through a range of targeted programmes, including:

  • Brighter Futures Project – Emotional and trauma-informed support for children struggling with big feelings, difficult behaviours or challenging life experiences.
  • Inspiring Futures – Helping parents overcome barriers to employment, access education, and navigate life's tough moments.
  • Cwtch Mawr – Our community warehouse providing essentials like clothing, nappies, school uniforms, hygiene items & more.
  • Summer Kit Days – Supporting families with the cost of going back to school and more.
  • Outreach & Advocacy – Standing beside families at home, at meetings, and in times of crisis.

We don't just step in when things go wrong—we walk alongside families for the long haul.

How Your Support Helps

Every donation—big or small—makes a real difference. At Faith in Families, we turn your generosity into direct support for children and families across Swansea and South Wales.

Here's how your gift can help:

  • £10 provides a bag of fresh produce for a struggling family or covers lunch for four people at one of our welcoming community spaces.
  • £20 helps us buy shoes or warm clothing for a child—or covers resources for a group session supporting children's wellbeing.
  • £30 contributes towards fuel vouchers or essential kitchen appliances, helping families stay warm and fed.
  • £40 funds transport and entry for a family day out, creating joyful memories during difficult times.
  • £50 buys new toys for a child or funds 1-to-1 therapeutic sessions with qualified practitioners—giving children a safe space to talk and heal.
  • £70 provides childcare, allowing parents to attend training, learn new skills, and build brighter futures.
