Diocesan Heritage Forum

Swansea and Brecon Diocesan Heritage Forum promotes and cares for the heritage of Anglican churches in the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon, a uniquely beautiful part of Wales that stretches from the Swansea coast to rural Powys, taking in Y Bannau Brycheiniog National Park and the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our churches form an essential part of the built heritage of Wales, and the Forum's overall aim is to highlight their value through heritage activities, historical research, and engagement with local and visiting groups who wish to see our churches maintained for public use by future generations.

Our mission

  • Promote the history and heritage of church buildings and churchyards
  • Build a network to share good practice, ideas and advice
  • Forge connections with heritage organisations across Wales and beyond
  • Place our churches at the forefront of heritage and conservation
