Community Evangelist at St Catherine's Mission Hub Church, Gorseinon

St Catherine's Mission Hub Church, Gorseinon, is seeking a Community Evangelist to make friends for Jesus through strategic community engagement, working with existing ministries and pioneering new initiatives.

Salary	£32,000
Hours/FTE	Full Time (37 hours, 1.0FTE) — working hours subject to agreement between the postholder and employer but will include some evening and weekend work, and regular work on Sunday.
Contract	Permanent
Location	St Catherine's Mission Hub Church, Gorseinon — but should be prepared to work from other locations as necessary.
Reporting to	Reporting both to the Vicar and the Operations and Finance Manager via matrix management.
DBS required	An Enhanced DBS check through the Church in Wales is required for this post.

Job purpose

To make friends for Jesus through strategic community engagement, working with existing ministries of the church and pioneering new initiatives. The Community Evangelist will work with the wider Mission Hub team to ensure a cohesive strategy for outreach to the whole community, leading the way in community engagement with a gospel focus. To identify the needs and assets of the local community, build relationships, share the gospel and lead them to faith.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the holder of this post is a committed Christian. Equality Act (2010) Part 1 applies.
