Join Chrism Mass at Brecon Cathedral

The Chrism Mass gathers people from across the diocese at the beginning of Holy Week to bless sacred oils and renew ministerial promises.

This year's service will take place at Brecon Cathedral on Tuesday, 31 March at noon when Bishop John will be presiding.

During the service the oils used in baptism, confirmation and healing are blessed, and clergy renew the promises made at their ordination. It is a sign of our shared ministry and unity in Christ, and all are welcome to join us for this central act of worship in the life of the diocese.

"Everyone in our diocese is warmly invited — lay and ordained, those licenced for ministry and those who serve in other vital roles," Bishop John said. "This is a celebration of our shared ministry and unity in Christ."

A buffet lunch follows the service. Places should be registered in advance via Eventbrite. Please email dietary requirements to paswanbrec@cinw.org.uk.
